Shadow Thralls

Shadow Thralls are Taken enemies that imitate regular Thralls. They are usually summoned by Taken Wizards and first appeared in The Taken King. They are weaker than Taken Thralls and can die from a single submachine gun shot. They charge the nearest enemy in a straight line and can vanish a few seconds after appearing or if they move too far from their summoner. The variants are the Consumed Shadow (Heroic) and Devoured Shadow (Epic).

Shadow Thralls were once endless enemies in The Shattered Throne that players farmed for kills. Patch 4.0.0.1 fixed an issue where Shadow Thralls in The Shattered Throne were unintentionally granting investment rewards. Defeating them does not contribute toward catalysts, crafted weapons or experience.
