Soft Cap

The '''Soft Cap''' is the Power level past which Power can only be raised with Powerful Gear and then Pinnacle Gear.

In Destiny 2: The Final Shape, the Soft Cap was 1940, the Powerful Cap 1990 and the Pinnacle Cap 2000. Past the Soft Cap, Powerful Gear comes from weekly challenges such as Dares of Eternity and Onslaught, plus Pathfinder rewards. Pinnacle Gear comes from raids, Nightfalls, Trials of Osiris and secret Exotic quests.

These values are from The Final Shape launch period and may have changed in later seasons.
