The Chaperone Catalyst

Overview

The Chaperone Catalyst is the catalyst-completion Triumph for The Chaperone, the Exotic Kinetic slug Shotgun. It requires 500 final blows with the weapon after obtaining its catalyst.

How to complete

Equip The Chaperone and use its shots to finish targets. Choose encounters with plentiful ordinary combatants and available Special ammo, and aim for precision final blows to benefit from The Roadborn. Ability kills and final blows from another weapon do not satisfy the catalyst's weapon requirement. After reaching 500 kills, apply the completed catalyst in the weapon's details screen.

Catalyst effect

The catalyst grants Triple Tap: rapidly landing precision hits returns one round to the magazine. This rewards accurate sustained shooting rather than granting an automatic refill on every kill.

Acquisition

The catalyst can drop from Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit or Exotic Orders payouts in the Seasonal Hub. Xûr can also sell it for Strange Coins.
