The Outer Steppes

Overview

The Outer Steppes is an area connected to Kepler. Dr. Carnahan, an Aionian scientist, runs a research outpost there. The House of Exile has taken over the area's power plant. Ikora Rey sends the Guardian to investigate the link between dark matter and Kepler.

Strangelet quest

The The Outer Steppes Strangelet quest, from Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate, starts when you meet Lodi's contact, Dr. Carnahan, in The Stacks. Her outpost is ransacked, and her assistant has been killed by Exiles. Clear the Stasis and Strand Exiles, then defeat the Exiled Hermit to reach Dr. Carnahan. A Morphology mission recovers the stolen Mattermorph technology, which she entrusts to you. The Charge mission retrieves the Outer Steppes strangelet capsule and repairs the Altar of Relativity. The quest ends at the power plant, where the Exile threat is removed and the plant is restored.
