The Outer Steppes Strangelet
Dr. Carnahan has worked out where the escaped murderer is heading, and not a moment too soon. Track them down and reclaim the dangerous technology they've stolen in mission "Morphology."

Overview
The Outer Steppes Strangelet is a story quest in The Edge of Fate on Kepler. Ikora Rey sends you to meet Lodi's Aionian contact, Dr. Carnahan, in the Stacks. It is the third strangelet quest and unlocks the Mattermorph ability. It requires that the Exile's Accord and Central Academy strangelets have already been integrated at the Altar of Relativity.
Walkthrough
- Go to the Stacks (interact with the terminal blocking the way) and find Lodi's contact.
- Dr. Carnahan's office is ransacked. Defeat the Eliksni Exile Captains: one uses Stasis, the other Strand.
- Chase down the leader, the "Exiled Hermit", and claim his Acceleron. He turns immune after taking damage; use Matterspark to charge pylons, destroy Rosetta Frequencies and hit terminals to restore vulnerability.
- Speak with Dr. Carnahan about the murder of her assistant.
- Start the mission "Morphology" to hunt the murderer (a chase against Felciks, Fiendling of the Archon Prime) and recover the stolen Mattermorph technology.
- Return the Mattermorph to Dr. Carnahan.
- Complete the mission "Charge": activate the reactor, charge pylons and defeat the Reactor Saboteur with Arc Charge deposits, to take the Strangelet Capsule.
