Truth Catalyst

Overview

Truth Catalyst tracks the 300 targets defeated with Truth needed to activate its Exotic catalyst. Truth is an Exotic Void Rocket Launcher in the Power slot. This record belongs to the Exotic catalyst collection.

Acquisition and completion

Obtain Truth from the Monument to Lost Lights in the Tower if necessary. Its catalyst can drop randomly from Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit Ops and Exotic Orders; these activities share a pool of catalysts, so a drop need not be Truth's.

After obtaining the catalyst, equip Truth and defeat 300 targets with its rockets. Aim at groups of weak enemies to earn several final blows per shot and conserve heavy ammunition. Once the counter is complete, activate the catalyst in the weapon's inspection screen.

Catalyst effect

The completed catalyst adds Reaper's Tithe. Multiple simultaneous final blows prepare a stacking damage bonus; its timer begins when the weapon next fires, and further final blows extend that timer. Preparing the bonus against a group before firing at a tougher target makes practical use of the perk.
