Well Protector

The Well Protector is a Major-rank Scorn Abomination, a variant of the Fallen-species Scorn. It first appeared in Season of the Wish and stands on the Well behind an immunity shield.

Overview

Well Protectors appear in Riven's Lair and The Coil, during the Enthymeme and Chiasmus encounters. They spawn at the start of the encounter against the Locus of Subjugation and again when Elikaa, the Pale Rot drops to half health.

Mechanics

To break the shield, the Guardian kills a Mephitic Host to receive the Ephemeral Virus buff, which lasts 29 seconds and makes the Well Protector vulnerable. Once it dies, players must step onto the Well before the virus runs out. Its abilities include Overcharged Ether, High Durability and Ground Slam.
