Xvaak

Overview

Xvaak, Waybearer is a Hive Wizard and the boss of Writ: Path of Ambition in Episode: Heresy. The page describes it as a renegade Hive Wizard trying to unseal the Core of Corruption's chamber in the Dreadnaught.

Fight

The fight comes at the entrance of the Core of Corruption, reached through Taken portals. Sources describe the route differently, with one saying it starts from Invasion Bay. Guardians defeat Xvaak together with its two Acolyte underlings by disrupting its ritual. One guide suggests using Special or Heavy weapons against it.

Hive Plate

After the fight, the Guardian stands on the Hive Plate ritual plate. This dispels the Blights covering the entrance and leaves the Guardian briefly caught between dimensions.
