Compact Arrow Shaft

Overview

Compact Arrow Shaft is an arrow shaft perk for Bows. Its in-game description reads “Thinner arrows to increase nocking speed and weapon handling.” On bows it gives +10 Handling and +10 Reload Speed. Patch 3.3.0 reworked it to focus on reload and handling.

How it works

Arrow shafts occupy the arrow slot of a bow, so a bow runs one shaft at a time. Compact Arrow Shaft is the speed option in that slot. It is the choice when you want a bow to handle quicker and reload faster, rather than gaining stability or accuracy.

Bows that roll it

Many bows can roll Compact Arrow Shaft. Whistler's Whim and Wish-Keeper both list it. Others include Convened Recurve, Imperial Needle and Le Monarque.

Comparison

Carbon Arrow Shaft is the stability option in the same slot. Fiberglass Arrow Shaft greatly increases accuracy and slightly decreases stability.
