History of Corrupted Expunge

Overview

Corrupted Expunge is the harder version of three Expunge missions: Labyrinth, Styx and Tartarus. Delphi has no corrupted version. The Corrupted missions add stronger enemies, more Champions, and Taken variants replacing most other enemies. Expunge was a set of missions released during Season of the Splicer and was removed when Destiny 2: The Witch Queen released.

Acquisition

Corrupted missions spawn a Corrupted Conflux Chest instead of a standard Conflux Chest, and the chest needs a Corrupted Key to open. Enemies in PvE and PvP have a small chance to drop a Corrupted Key, which stacks up to five. Its loot pool matches a regular Conflux Chest, which can include Lightkin armor, Override weapons and Umbral Engrams. One source says a Corrupted Key Code is needed to enter Corrupted Expunge; another says it is needed to open the chest.
