Deadeye

Deadeye is the weapons seal. It asks you to use every weapon type and to finish a set of ammo-slot and precision triumphs, and it grants the Deadeye title. It is a permanent seal and still obtainable (not tied to an event or Episode), but its gilding triumphs change every season or episode.

Overview

• Covers: every weapon type in the game, across PvE and the Crucible. Several triumphs only count in "Ops" playlist activities.
• Title granted: Deadeye.
• Triumphs: 31 in the seal record.
• Time to complete: long. The Mastery triumphs (100 Crucible final blows each with Auto Rifle, Bow, Fusion Rifle, Grenade Launcher, Hand Cannon, Pulse Rifle, Scout Rifle, Shotgun, Sidearm, Sniper Rifle, SMG, Trace Rifle) make up most of the effort.

Required triumphs

• Weapon Aptitude triumphs (one each for Auto Rifle, Bow, Fusion Rifle, Grenade Launcher, Hand Cannon, Heavy Machine Gun, Linear Fusion Rifle, Pulse Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Scout Rifle, Shotgun, Sidearm, Sniper Rifle, Submachine Gun, Sword): defeat combatants with that weapon type in any activity.
• Weapon Mastery triumphs (Auto Rifle Mastery, Bow Mastery, Fusion Rifle Mastery, Grenade Launcher Mastery, Hand Cannon Mastery, Pulse Rifle Mastery, Scout Rifle Mastery, Shotgun Mastery, Sidearm Mastery, Sniper Rifle Mastery, Submachine Gun Mastery, Trace Rifle Mastery): defeat 100 Guardians in the Crucible with that weapon type. Bow, Fusion (Linear), Hand Cannon and Sniper also want 25 precision final blows, and each has a small side step.
• Munitions Variety Pack: 500 Kinetic, 250 Energy and 100 Power weapon final blows.
• The Basics: 1,000 Primary ammo weapon final blows in Ops activities.
• Special Operator: 500 Special ammo weapon final blows in Ops activities.
• Power Play: 250 Power weapon final blows in Ops activities.
• Precisely: 500 precision final blows in Ops activities.
• Rapidity: 250 rapid defeats in Ops activities.
• Sweet Spotter: precision kills on specific enemies (for example 25 Cabal Legionaries, 25 Vex Goblins, 25 Fallen Vandals, plus smaller counts on Captains, Wizards, Ogres, Wyverns, Incendiors, Ravagers and Hobgoblins).
• Dark Age Arsenal: win a Gambit match with a Gambit weapon in every slot.
• Weapon Archivist: unlock weapon entries in your Collections by acquiring weapons for the first time.

Gilding

The base title is permanent, but the gold colour and gilding count reset each season or episode. An older, season-specific guide lists five gilding triumphs: Weapon Flair (100 precision final blows and 5 point-blank multikills in Gambit), Weapon Focus (100 final blows and 50 precision final blows in Nightfalls without dying), Three Birds, Three Stones (kills with Kinetic, Energy and Heavy weapons in five separate Crucible matches), Ritual of the Season (100 rapid defeats with Hand Cannons in ritual playlists) and Season's Greetings (500 kills with the season's Hand Cannon). The set rotates, so these are examples from that season.

Tips

• Start Crucible Mastery kills early and in Quickplay or Control, and combine them with the Ops kill counters.
• Sunshot is a useful pick for rapid defeats.
• Use Shotguns and Swords for point-blank multikills and Hand Cannons, Scouts or Snipers for precision.
