Relentless

Overview

Relentless is a Legendary Strand Pulse Rifle with a High-Impact Frame, new to the Prophecy loot pool in the March 2024 refresh (the name is a reprise of old Trials of the Nine gear). Its first-column perks include Keep Away, Rapid Hit, Slice, Outlaw, Snapshot Sights and Slideways, and its second column includes Desperado, Frenzy, Hatchling, Headseeker, Moving Target and Zen Moment. A common PvE pick is Rapid Hit or Slice with Frenzy, while Slice with Hatchling suits Strand builds.

Acquisition

Drops from the first encounter (Phalanx Echo) of the Prophecy dungeon along with the Prosecutor auto rifle, and also repeats as an Emissary rewards chest option. It replaced The Last Breath-era Trials weapons in the pool. In the March 5, 2024 loot refresh during Season of the Wish, Prophecy swapped its old Trials of the Nine weapons for reprised ones, and every reprised weapon gained the Crossing Over origin trait (increased range and handling for the top half of the magazine, increased damage for the bottom half).
